The CASC is made up of nine board members and four officers. We are a very experienced group with various business backgrounds. Most importantly, are our years and years of community involvement. Many of our board members are also art, science and cultural based in our daily work lives. A great source!
We have an established history of over 10 years in the local community. In the performing Arts, we focus on bringing some of the finest musical member performances that help enhance the greater Parker area .From Wine Walks to the Community stage at Parker Days, to concerts.
We are branching further out to the sciences by supporting programs in local front range areas that feature activity for youth who want to enrich their minds. We’re looking to build our science program support up to be one of the leading programs in the state.
Within every community, there needs to be culture and cultural awareness. Our two fundraising programs bring just that to our communities. We have two celebrations each year that bring out the flavor of true cultural heritage.Oktoberfest and Mardi Gras!
CASC Grows Its Cultural Fundraising Event
Mardi Gras III 2016 – Is Home in Downtown Parker
February marks the start of Mardi Gras celebrations nationwide. Infamous “Fat Tuesday” falls early this month.
Here in Parker, Colorado, the Council of Arts, Science and Culture (CASC) brings its 3rd Annual Mardi Gras Celebration to downtown, for the first time this year. Parker’s downtown is the CASC Mardi Gras’ new, permanent location – kicking off the celebration is a three day event beginning February 5-7, 2016. Saturday February 6, marks our big Mardi Gras Party with plenty of fun in store!
This year’s celebration holds three days of festivities. Kicking off on Friday with a Biz-Pub Crawl to greet the weekend, the celebration continues on Saturday with a sidewalk parade, Cajun food and – yes, alive and well – a Black Light Bingo Bash set to live music and featuring over $1,500 worth of cash winnings to players. Sunday, of course, is the answer to every Super Bowl fan’s dream: a Tailgate Party at Parker Garage on Mainstreet.
“We are expanding our reach as an organization and are very excited to be having our Mardi Gras event held in the growing town of Parker as a permanent location. We are very pleased to be working with the Downtown Business Alliance and the Creative District as well as other local businesses with this event.” states CASC President Jeff Fox.
As a fundraiser, this year’s event is supported by Rollin’ Dreams, an organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of teenagers with life threatening illnesses. Rollin’ Dreams provides activities and experiences for teens during treatment, to decrease and overcome boredom and loneliness.
The Downtown Business Alliance businesses are eager to participate in the many aspects of this Mardi Gras event and would love to see the residents of Parker come, support and have fun! Please visit www.mardigrasparker.com for more information and details on how to order tickets.
